GENERATE CERTIFICATIONS

Generating Certifications allow users to create certifications in batches for a program. This where the certifications valid for the program type will be listed along with those students for whom a certification has not yet been awarded.

To create Certifications for a program/class
  1. On the Programs menu, click Programs/Classes.       
    The Program/Class Search page displays.

  2. Use the Search functionality to locate the program/class you are looking for.

  3. Click GO and in the search results grid, click the Edit button next to the program/class you want to add certifications to.

  4. Click the Certifications tab at the bottom of the Edit Program/Class page.

    • Default Certification Types shows the certification types available for the class.

    • # Not Yet Createdrefers to the number of registrants whose certifications for the different types have not yet been created.

    • Certifications Issued Date is the date the certification was last generated for the class.

    • Below is a grid of the students that has been issued with certifications and the certification details. Options to edit and delete these are also available to those with the corresponding security permission.

  5. To create certifications for the remaining registrants on the # Not Yet Created, click the Create Certification link.  
    The Create Certifications page displays.

  6. Information about the class is shown on the Program/Class Information section. Click in the Certifications Issued Date box to change the date the certification is to be posted. This defaults to the current date.

  7. On the Certifications section, certifications types valid for the program are displayed along with those students for whom a certification has not yet been awarded. You can select any or all of the registrants here.

  8. Select the Include this Type checkbox to include generating this certification type as a group or clear the checkbox to exclude this type.

  9. Select the Lock these certification checkbox to lock the certifications so that they may not be modified unless unlocked by persons with the security role allowed for this.

  10. You can set the issuing authority of this certification on the Issued By dropdown box as well as the issue date on the Issue Date box. The Issue Date defaults to the program/class end date.

  11. Click the Save  button at the top of the page to save the information and generate these certifications.

  12. Click Yes to confirm the process and go back to the Edit Program/Class page.
